Alternator voltage low?

Running a higher amperage Durango alternator.

At idle voltage is 13.81 and 13.82 (checking with a Fluke meter at the battery or back of alternator). It is pretty rock solid at this number using the Fluke.

At idle Torque pro shows voltage bouncing between 13.8 and 14.0 and occasionally 13.4 or 13.5.

At idle a Blue Sea voltage meter shows 13.8.

When I turn on HVAC blower to high and a Spal trans cooler fan it drops around 13.5.

I replaced the alternator with a NEW Mopar unit. Numbers haven't changed.

This seems to be a little on the low side. It should be in the 14.2 range. Any ideas?

Belt is properly tight.
Battery terminals are clean and tight.
All Battery wiring upgraded to 1/0.
Battery is two weeks old.

I agree the.numbers are probably in the acceptable range, but likely slightly under what it should be.

I found it odd that the 15+ yr old alternator and brand new alternator basically had the same output.

That's why I think there might be something else at play.

Maybe it just means there was nothing wrong with the 15 year old alternator.

Run it like it is, if something else is wrong it will show up sooner or later. Right now I think you're chasing a ghost.
