People trash-talk body lifts all the time get use to it. I have a Performance accessories 3" on mine and I am running 33" tires. If your Jeep's mounts are in good shape and are not rusted all to hell, go for it. The 3" will make for more problems with the shifters, but I am fairly handy with that kinda stuff. I got mine free, but they are usually about $100

Below are pics before the body lift with 31's and after with 33's

And a few flexin' with a bone stock suspension and sway bar connected. People can say what they will, but I had more money to put into my winch by not buying a suspension lift at the time, and it has come in handy. I hear people say "your tub is going to come off in a wreck, but with any impact like that you have more than that to worry about. I have installed a lot of lifts, and A body lift is good if your vehicle is in good shape. Do whatcha want it's your Jeep

Personally I really dislike body lifts becuase of the "Gap Factor", Also your transmission, and tcase shifters dont move up with the body lift. So while 1inch might not be much to lose on shifter hieght, 4inchs seems like a lot to me.

Looking at d5string pictures the second picture you can see the large gap below the grill, his nerf bars hide the sidegaps really well. Not really any pictures of the back.

Here you can see the kind of gap created above the bumper and crossmember.

Again to each there own, but personally I don't like the looks of it.

Master 4th is right about the gap, and I built the rocker rails/steps to hide this, but man it makes it easy to get mud out from the gas tank area, and everywhere else. The gap doesn't bother me now, but at first it did look funny. Now with the winch and the rockers covering the sides, the nack doesn't look bad to me. I will load some more pics to help with your decesion. The first one is before the winch install and I tried to load a shot of the rear. The last two show the winch installed.

People don't say anything about the body lift on the trail (atleast not to me) being I usually am the only one with a winch that can get around them to pull them out

I found a couple more. The first one is during the install of the Body Lift. Good luck on your choice. I like mine.

Maybe you can do a search and download the instructions to the lift you want and see what all is envolved.
I had to replace my hoses to the fuel tank, relocate the radiator, and extend my shifters, but I am much happier with my shifters now, but I have a welding/fab shop here so that makes it easier for me :whistling:
