anyone out there that can tell me what the real life diameter is for the 315/70r17 KO2 tire... hear they run a bit small, and the GY Duratrac 285/70r17's I was going to get are not in stock anywhere local... was wondering if the BFG KO2 315/70r17 would work with my JKUR Hard Rock with a EVO 1.5" HD Leveling Kit and 3.73 gears... any input on going this route much appreciated.

Go to tirerack.com and search for the size and then look at the specs on the tire. Overall diameter is on the far right of the column.

Not to sway you but I just read a thread in the California forum where the guy punctured two side walls on his new KO2 while off roading in the snow. I know tires are a never ending battle so just pushing the info to you. I have run Copper ST Maxx for a couple years through the same trails he did and have had no issues. Quiet on road as well.

Once again not pushing anything specific just advising of you plan on wheeling rocks.

That thread is of interest to me thanks. One reason I went ko2 over DT is sidewalls. Hoping his were not e load tires. Wonder if he got defective ones. In a video they show the tear resistance by driving it by this steel wedge.

I just went from 285 to 315 Duratracs this weekend.
Procal speed is deadnuts programmed at 33.5"

3:73 gears and a 6 Speed. You can feel the difference, but will still leave a light ahead of most.

I can't imagine how he punctured tires riding in the snow. Must have been something under the snow or some crazy sharp ice.

I have the 35x12.5 17K02's and the measure 34" at 29psi. I love my tires. They are fantastic on road in snow and very quiet. Here is a link for a 15000 mile review of the K02's. It is a good read NMBR’s Long-term BFGoodrich KO2 Review: 15,000 Mile Report | Expedition Portal
