Compass reading wrong direction

I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport and my compass is reading the wrong direction. I don’t have a button to push to recalibrate it and I don’t have a CAL signal below it. I tried driving with my cell phone on the dash and then without and that didn’t work and then I tried turning in circles both clockwise and counterclockwise and that didn’t work. I took the top part of the dash off in the middle but didn’t see the compass. Does anyone have any ideas? The owners manual says it doesn’t need to be calibrated and doesn’t offer any troubleshooting ideas. Any help is appreciated!

I dont have a compass in my jeep but is this what you meant when you were talking about the CAL signal?

Unfortunately, my Jeep doesn’t have the option to push up or down. I think those controls are on a steering wheel but mine doesn’t have that. No button on the left side of the dash either. I’m stumped! And thanks for trying! 😀

I have the same problem with my 2016 75th Anniversary. North is South and South is North. Weird because the directions on the radio's navigation are correct. I've done the re-calibration and the dealer is clueless (I don't want to spend thousands trying to fix it).

This is weird. Maybe pop the cover of the dash and check unit wiring? Maybe backwards?
And if north is south, is east west?
