I need to know how much diff fluid to put in my 06 Dana 44 Rubicon. Axles. I have a g2 front axle cover and the last shop that filled my diffs over filled them and the diff shot fluid everywhere and I needed a toe. I have loomed up the info and some say 2 quarts Ans some say other stuff. I will be using synthetic fluid and I need to amount so I can do it myself. Also and additives? Thanks

If i am not mistaken, the fluid level should be about one half inch below the filler hole. I could be wrong but that should get you close.

To the bottom of the fill hole for the stock cover is good. Only when a CV driveshaft has been installed will that change due to how the axle must be rotated to raise the pinion angle. 
Thanks for simple short answer. Also so if if I get rcv front axles I will need more fluid?I plan on getting some eventually.
