2022 Wrangler JL Sahara, 6 cylinder. 2 weeks in the shop and still no answers. Got this message out of nowhere on the dash, along with a drastic power loss, loss of power steering, check engine light and traction control light on. Luckily I was close to the dealership. As a former Jeep Dealer, this is one of those problems I dreaded to hear about when a customer had one, cascading power failures of many different systems. I’ve been out of the business for more than 10 years, so I dont know where one starts with this. Unfortunately not getting any answers from the service department…”Checking on codes….QC road test and back in the shop…” ugh

Dealer said they’d still been evaluating so I went by myself with the spare key. It had 40 more miles on it, but had no problems and it was like new again. Dealer said they couldn’t find any codes and couldn’t reproduce the problem. They saw it while it was having its “stroke”, but later when in front of a tech it went away. From experience I can read those tea leaves. It may or not reoccur but no one knows. With no problems for the techs, there’s nothing to go on to fix. So I drove to a National chain Toyota dealership and swapped it for a loaded Tacoma. I loved this rig but a mystery problem of that severity I can’t have always hanging over my head.

Is there a list somewhere of all the possible messages? Never herd of this one. No help here without code #'s. With an auto trans it shifts by itself so might be hard to not shift the trans. That means you can't shut engine off. With your 38 years in dealership I am sure you have some good contacts. Now you are 10 years retired. With no PS, no shifting, loss of power and everything else I would say it's not drive able. .

I guess former Jeep Dealers know when to holdem..know when to foldem and in this case know when to run.
The next owner will be back here asking us the same questions.
