Hey all,
In the pursuit to make sure my wife's Jeep is issue free for her, I am back here again to see if there is anyone who could shed light to this problem.
So in the years we have had the Jeep, the doors havent been taken off (this is her daily driver).... but for some reason, every once in a while one (or both) the rear door windows stops working. The locks and everything still have power... but the rear window(s) will just stop. It will keep on like this for a while, then suddenly my wife will report how the window(s) are working again.
This time I dont feel like allowing that to happen, and I am going to get it fixed while it isnt working. This time it is just the rear drivers side (rear left side) that doesnt want to go down. The rear right/ passengers side window works fine.
This is coming from the front switches that are located dash, all of course all the switches have their lights on (indicating some kind of power, if anything, to the lights in the switch).... and no the lock isnt on
Now the stranger part, I believe the rear window switches are those two switches in the center console on the rear, just below the arm rest facing the back seat (excuse my ignorance as I have never sat in the back, and it isnt my vehicle). I was checking them out, and if those are the window switches, they do not seem to operate. I see now light for them, and they do not seem to rol up or down the windows. There is a small light underneath the switches (I guess so you can see your drinks?) and it has power and seems to have no issue illuminating the area under the light switches.
Any ideas.
I am not too familiar with Jeeps (this is our first one), but I do know my way around a vehicle for the most part. I say this with the request that, to anyone who answers, that you dont get too "Jeep" technical in the places to check or repair (ex. stating a common identifiable name for what to look at, versus a Jeep specific name for a plug, switch, or part)
Thanks all!!
Just trying to keep my wife loving her Jeep as we make the payments
