Just take it to a machine shop. For a few bucks you will get perfectly aligned and clean holes.

 

You'll want to drill 3-4 smaller holes inside the area where the hole is going to be. This will allow the chips somewhere to go and keep the bit from dulling/overheating. It's not easy but should be able to be done depending on thickness. Low rpm and use cutting oil.

 

I know I have said this before... but I am just going to start pming you kj... Thanks for the info guys. Going to go for a swing at it, but might just take it to some kind of shop.

Aside from the cutting oil, what type of drill should I be using? Technique? I want to try it myself before going to a body shop.

 

I used a HD drill on my knuckle I picked up from HF. Worked great but almost ripped my shoulder off lol

 

Lets see the pics of them on when done. I am thinking of ordering seeing I really love the tire carrier. I would color match them to th body if I do.

 

I paired it with a genright tire carrier. I can give you more info on the install. Not really difficult..

Still figuring out if I want tod o the reverse light holes myself. I know most of the drilling is in technique which is something I really don't have...
