I adding a 2.5 inch lift with new wheels and tires and I’m considering the Fuel Sledge wheels: 17" with 35” BFGs. 2013 JKUS.

Please chime in with your experience on Fuel wheels. What do you like or not like?

Love my beasts....not particularly fond of those though...as for the quality of them they are a solid wheel....I have zero complaints.....

Same as above. I have bronze Fuel Beasts on my Rubicon Recon. Look fantastic. Scratch a little easily. Don’t like the particular model you posted

I have been happy with the quality of my Fuel wheels.

Aesthetics are personal and you should buy what makes you happy. My taste in wheels has changed a fair bit over the years and I no longer like my particular Fuel wheels. I found a shop that will take them on trade and I bought some new Black Rhino wheels from them. Installation is next week.

The Sledge is just OK for me, but I am extremely picky and opinionated when it comes to wheel designs. I am hard to please. My favorite Fuel is probably the Beast.

I have the fuel assault wheels. Just got them with 33’s love them. One note the wheel shop I bought them from. He said when looking at wheels if you buy wheels where the spokes go out to the front of the rim it draws you eye outward towards the tires and makes them look bigger. Wheels with the spokes set back from the rim draw your eye inward towards the rim itself. Seems to be true.

Those centercaps are crap. The Fuel Anza style is much better since you don’t have to remove it when changing tires and won’t have issues that I’m about to describe.

Those centercaps are easily scratched, scratches the finish, and are perhaps hides the multi bolt pattern.

Also, make sure the valve stem placement has full access to air tools.

My previous fuel Mavericks had all those issues I mentioned. If your using your Jeep as intended, then choose wheels carefully.

I looked for a long time before deciding on these. It's hard to find wheels that look good with Billet. I really liked the original Hard Rock rims, but I swapped to eliminate spacers.

if you want wheels that can take abuse, check out the vision nemesis wheels. they have a removable rash ring that can be replaced.

Too much bling in the Fuel line up when I see them online without being mounted on a vehicle. Once they are mounted, some look fantastic!

Oddly, I choose my wheels for price and the possibility of rock rash. I haven't had a set of wheels on a Jeep where I did not end up with rock marks. Probably because I am a crappy driver. Many of the newer wheels have simulated bead locks which just seems like a bigger ledge to get scratched by rocks. Feels like it is easier to not have to maintain the scratches and plan for them on the chromed edges.

I have a set of Fuel wheels (D53117902645) and I would not recommend them. The center caps are cheap plastic and tarnish quickly. They also seem to scratch very easily and needed touch up or they will tarnish quickly as well compared to wheels I've had in the past.

Seeing how many gouges my oem wheels with spacers get, while I like a lot of wheels I see, I'll stick with the 17" oem alloys I can pick up on Craigslist for as little as $15 a piece. When I get home and have a new gouge, I honestly don't care. With a nice set of those bronze wheels, I'd be pissed that I spent the money if I went on a run and scratched the crap out of them and broke a couple center caps.

Everybody has their preference, but I must say though... I don't like big center caps. It looks like you're trying to cover things up. They tend to be a bit of a target as well. I prefer a small center cap that doesn't stick out too far, exposed lugs, and an open design. The open spokes give the illusion there is nothing there at speed.

As for fuel vs others... I had a set of fuels and I really don't think it makes a difference. A wheel is a wheel. I had no complaints on fuel but I went with Sota this time around because I simply liked the design over anything fuel had at the time.
