Nor sure of specs but I have about 10 CD's loaded and its only using like 1/20th of capacity.

Also, can you download a CD directly or do you have to use a flash drive?

 

If it's a 430n unit, the HD is 40GB. I have somewhere around 2,000 songs loaded on mine and I don't think I'm even close to capacity

I leave a 100GB thumb drive in the USB slot in my 430. Give that a shot.

I just put about 2400 songs on an 8G thumb drive. I will put those on the 430N but really don't see myself maxing it to the theoretical max of 8400 tracks anytime soon....

 

I recently found in a box an old 256 MB mp3 player I used back in the day when I jogged on the beach (~15 years ago). Could hold about 80 songs of 3 min duration. Had to juggle the storage as my tastes changed. But those times were the most fun with digital music, honestly. Too easy, too ubiquitous, too massive now. Not as much plain, simple joy in the experience anymore.
