Step 1, empty the hot tub.

Step 2, turn it on its side and place on trailer

Step 3, Strap the hell out of it

Step 4, drive home and reverse these steps and refill.

I drove my tub several hundred miles stood up on its side no problem until Sandy had it's way with it.

 

Might check with the manufacturer to see about riding on it's side, some are not built for it, some are. At a minimum the pumps/etc. should be on the bottom. You might cut a few boards to fit across the trail and put it on top of the boards to ride flat.

 

Perfectly ok to stand em up, though I have never seen one go far or fast like that.

Alternatively, I'd jack it up and slide the trailer in, with two 4x6x8s under to support it. It'd ride to the moon like that.

Build a perma-trailer for it. Always been one of my dream purchases/fabrications; it sits right below the house on ten acres with no mortgage, which would eliminate the need for the hot-tub perma-trailer.

 

Get one of those flat 2x4 follies/carts with the 4 casters and put it under one side. Then If moving across dirt or grass cut a 4x8 sheet of plywood into 4 PCs and put the sections down. Then after you roll over 3 sections, pick up last, move it out in front, repeat.

 

I have easy access for the trailer to pull up next to it

 

Moved one before, pack a lot of stryrafoam and other materials around pump and heater to prevent cracked pipes
