Interested in this as well. Nothing wrong with the stock bulbs, but I'd love to see if there are even better options out there.

 

Not exactly what you're asking for, but have you looked into Hella's H4 80/100W bulbs and beefing up your factory harness?
I have KC enclosures(Wish i had Hellas, i dislike the plastic lens the KCs have) and these bulbs are much better than the bulbs that came with it.

 

If you live somewhere with a picky inspection, E (euro) codes won't pass.

 

I got these and F*ing love them. I live in PA and we have a yearly inspection but the Hella isn't much brighter than factory bulbs of modern cars and unless they look DIRECTLY at the lens you can't tell its not DOT. Best safety upgrade I have made on my Jeep hands down.

 

Did you have to upgrade your wiring to the headlights?

 

osram h4 60/55. had the 75/60 at first but they burned out too fast and i've heard the higher wattage ones burn out even faster.

osram is the parent company to sylvania, just cheaper to get them out of germany under the osram name

I'd go for the first ones, i dont like the blue tint of the "super white" bulbs

 

The Napa 80/100 h4s lasted me about 2 years. They throw an awesome amount of light too.

 

Installed some E-codes yesterday and I will stick with Standard Hella bulbs for now.

My question is for those of you who have had them for a few years, what halogen bulb have you landed on that you are happy with that compliment the E-Code lighting pattern? I will likely stick with the 60/55 watt (stock wiring). (Not interested in LED H4 as I will be driving in snow.)

I was not pleased with my Hellas in my opinion the stock sealed beams where superior. So I swapped the bulbs out with a plug and play HID kit and I couldn't be happier.

You must have really good night vision then... Because you are "the first" that I have ever heard of someone preferring the stock sealed beams.

I used Osram Night Breaker in all my rigs. They are very bright and still legal at 55w.

The cheap chinese one off amazon. That was before daniel stern made one for tjs. Its been on for three years or so, no issues.

 

Done the swap with some good Sylvania $60 pair bulbs also added pair to fogs and Chinese harness

 

Can anyone post a link for a decent wiring harness upgrade in case i want to run stronger bulbs than the 55w the hella ecodes come with?? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.
