How to prevent death wobble from happening?

I'm just curious what I can do (or not do) to prevent death wobble. I have a 2017 2 door at 22,000 miles and do NOT have death wobble on it. I'm just wondering what i can do to prevent it from ever happening, because honestly it scared me after seeing a jeep on the highway have to stop after the wheels went crazy. I know that cheap parts/cheap lift can cause this, I have no plans for a lift currently. But is there any sort of maintenance or things I can do at home to keep everything ship shape? Not too keen on taking it to the dealership for "services". Thanks in advance.

The price of the parts doesn’t matter. You can experience death wobble with the most expensive parts or the cheapest. Improperly installed and worn parts cause death wobble. Install parts correctly—proper torque is essential. Replace worn parts. Keep the geometry within spec by choosing to appropriate parts for your lift height.

Read through this extensive first post. The post is over 10 years old but very informative. It is the initial source of my information about the TJ/JK suspension and probably appropriate to the JL as well (except for maybe the bolt and hole sizes).

There are links to three You Tube videos (2 at the start and 1 at the very end (link text very small). You will note the first post has the tag that it was modified by a moderator. They modified the size of the text font after forum conversion to new host shrank the text to a tiny font which was hard to read.

Many things that are wobble/shimmy related are tagged with the DW labeling on some posts but are not. You apparently got to see first hand a death wobble on another Jeep.

The previous four post all have excellent points, I thought this linked thread would help you. It is lengthy because of the long videos, but they are not boring.
