Maybe try doing what you did to set it at first? Drive in a circle....3 times I think?

 

Read page 217/218/219 of your manual !!

The easy one is goto large "un-encumbered" parking lot--and as Wrangler0 said--

Go in one complete circle at 5mph or less) and then, you shouldn't have any CAL icons on the dash--then give it a few miles to recal !!

Find an empty parking lot, hold down the left dash button until it says CAL where the direction should be, then while it's saying CAL, drive in a "hard over" circle until it finds itself.

It will also ask you for the declination for your area...

 

Lets don't really confuse him




Without touching ANYTHING, the circle trick should automatically cal the compass--

Then, if trouble read pgs 216/217/ 218 and 219, it can get involved

So i tried driving in a circle.. No luck..
I followed the owners manual on changing the variance.. No luck...
I tried the calebration setting on the dash... No luck...
Im guessing im gonna have togo to a jeep dealer on this one...

 

Heh Heh, that could cost ya, I'd park the jeep Due North and set a chunk of steel (3lbs), between the ctr dash top and windshield, turn the key on/off-on/off-on/off--Pretty cheap if it works, but keys gotta go on/off-

PS-Mine has been catywompus ever since I put my Rockhard rollcage in, over a year ago--

 

I found out if you put a "smart phone" in the dash panel it will change the compass on you. I was headed south and with the iPhone on the dash it said i was headed northwest
