I picked up some factor tow hooks for my 07 JK X thinking that I would remove my bumpers and bolt them on. I went into it know I had to cut the holes in the top of my front bumper of course but I did not know that I would have to cut holes in my frame to install the left rear hook. I could not believe that the frame on my X is different than rubicon frame. But I removed my rear bumper drilled some holes and now I have a rear tow hook. But Im afraid to tackle the front now.. What surprises am I gonna have?? Has anyone else done this?

It has nothing to do with X vs. Rubicon. The 07 and 08 had rear tow hooks in place of the hitch receiver. In 09 they moved it to the side. You'll have no issue installing the front hooks as they were an option in 07,
