I believe they use a 8HP75 transmission in the diesel, what do they make to adapt to the jeep transfer case??? Do they have a different tailpiece on the trans made for this?? Or do they have a unique transfer case to mate with the std 8HP75 tailpiece that fits JL axles on the tranny,?? this is important to me because I'm doing a hemi mod and if I can buy a tailpiece that mates up with my transfer case that would be really nice. Otherwise I have to modify the on flange on the t-case to mate.

FYI On the hemi kit , you have to shorten the drive shaft 3/4" do to the the extra length of the transmission and engine location:cry: I did verify that the Driveshafts are the same between the diesel and gas engines , so the transfercase didn't move,. The difference appears to be the endcap of the transmission which is available from jeep , so if the transmission output shaft is the same I'm golden. Otherwise I'd have to buy an output shaft to use that end cap. The other choices welding up holes and drilling new ones but you don't have to do all of them.

Oh I've been studying this hard I think I could have waited to find a transmission out of a diesel at a wrecking yard that would bolt up to a stock transfer case, but then the shift points wouldn't have been right so I think I can buy the transmission tailpiece that will adapt to the transfer case but not sure if the output shaft is the same for all four-wheel drive 8HP75's does anybody know that? I've been to studying this hard I think I could have waited to find a transmission out of a diesel at a wrecking yard. Reflashing the transmission can be problematic I understand
