Just my opinion but ... If that is the 3.6 then you should probably change the PCV valve while you have the cover out. It is very hard to change while the cover is on so if you have the cover off that is a good time to put in a new one. It's in the back near the firewall on the passenger side.

 

Without a doubt make sure to change the PCV valve, it's a huge pain to get access to, and if you have the valve cover off it would be a great time to get it done.

Oil cooler was replaced 10k miles ago. There's no oil down in the valley. Assuming what I'm seeing Is the actual leak its leaking at the valve cover and dripping onto the cat on the passenger side

It's an 11 year old vehicle now. Have you ever changed the heater hoses in the back on the fire wall? Then again if you change those you might as well change the hose that connects to the oil cooler as well, but you will have to pull the lower intake off in addition.

 

Pretty sure from unpleasant memory the pcv valve has to come out before the valve cover can come off on a 3.6. The pcv is over the end of the cam so don't think the cover can come up with the pcv still mounted. Irritating little torx bit in a klein 65200 ratchet will do it but its very tight in there. Result of cramming a engine designed for a minivan into the wrangler engine bay.

Doing the same to my 3.8 and replacing the harmonic balancer as well. It’s a 2007 so there’s pretty noticeable wear.
