Mammoth vs. Teraflex leveling kits

Most of my wheeling is going to be limited to beach crawling and forest trails. I really have no desire to be rock crawling, so no worries there. I'm looking at basically leveling out the Jeep; 1. cause I hate the rake thing and 2. I want to be able to go ahead and run 33s when I replace these tires eventually.

So, any practical experience with these two kits? Any words of wisdom why one kit over the other? Any known issues with one or the other?

I'm leaning towards the Mammoth kit currently.

I would also consider the Teraflex 1.5" spring leveling kit (slightly better than the pucks). You get 2.5" on the front and 1.5" on the rear...removes the rake leveling the jeep nicely, and you get the proper length springs w/o needing the pucks. You can also easily add the sway bar quick disconnect kits to the new (longer) links. **Note: those were my measurements at installation, it may have settled slightly .25-.5 inches after break in and adding accessories.

I was lucky enough to get an open box spring kit at Quadratec's tent sale last year (at a ridiculous price) and installed myself. I am quite happy with it.

This is the link on extreme terrain, but you should shop around dealers online for price matching, codes, etc.

So, still pondering this. I'm looking at this as a lifetime of the Jeep lift so my main concern would the the longevity of the poly type pucks vs. the steel pucks. Now I also have to figure out how to post 14 more times so I can get my Extreme Terrain forum discount...

Thanks for opening this, i am picking up my new ride this weekend and this is the first modification im looking to make with about the same riding style as you, something smooth, mainly tame trails. I had also been looking at exactly these two kits. While the sway bar is nice my main concern also was the durability of the poly vs steel pucks and other thing i had seen was the noise factor of the poly vs steel with the steel pucks possibly making more noise.

So, although not mentioned here what I've gathered is the noise can be a factor with the Steel pucks. So far, I've not found any evidence of the poly pucks wearing out. So with that and the longer sway bar links keeping the geometry the same once you lift it, I'm going to go with the Teraflex kit.

If anyone is interested I have a takeoff TF Performance Leveling kit and bolstering 5100 shocks for sale for real cheap. They have about 3-4K miles on them before I upgraded to a different kit and shocks. I also have a brand new in box TF HD trackbar. Any realistic offer I'll accept.
