I'm sure I found a motorcraft 2100 in my garage today that I want to use on my 89 wrangler. I don't know if it has the 1.08 venturi or not. The tag number is d4pe-ec, any help would be appreciated. It was pulled from my dad's old 70 mustang if that helps.

Took it apart to clean it, and it is a 1.08 venturi. I found an adapter plate that i think will work http://www.summitracing.com/parts/trd-2086 so if anyone can check I'd appreciate it. I also think I can fab up a throttle linkage. If anyone has any advice or experience, please feel free to join in.

That is the adapter plate you need, but O'Reilly or advance can usually have one for you next day.

My throttle return spring is just one from a random kit in the help section at O'Reilly, and my throttle cable bracket is the generic chrome one from the "performance" section at advance auto parts.

Its not pretty because I had to bend it a little to avoid the brake booster, but it works just fine.

Thanks a ton, I figured out that it was a 2100, and after I took it apart to start cleaning it for rebuilding I found the 1.08 stamp on it. I already got the plate because I'm in reno nv visiting at my parents house and there is a summet racing store up here. I'm just a little confused about the vacuum system because I can only spot one vacuum port and it's under the choke assembly. My carb also has a threaded hose part on the choke that I don't know what to do with. I'll get pictures when I get back to show better.

Do you also need to hook up the vacuum advance, or would I be fine without it?

Yes, your vacuum advance from the dizzy will hook up on the passenger side of the carburetor body kind of under the choke actuator.

the PCV valve from the valve cover will hook up to the port at the top rear of the airhorn/filter mounting area.

Thanks, I guess I'll just tie all the other vacuum stuff where the brake booster is, thanks for all your help

New problem, the adapter plate doesn't cover the entire bottom of the carb which leaves gaps between the carb base and adapter.

There is a thicker gasket that needs to be placed on the bottom of the carb then that sits on top of the gasket on top of the base plate. I did the exact same thing when I first did the conversion. In my picture where I show you the 1.08 stamping on the carb body you can see how thick that main carb base plate gasket is.

Its about 1/8" thick.
