New here, and a radiator question

Hey everyone! I’m brand new to the Jeep world, and just bought my first one at the end of May - a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2 Door (no mods), and live in the SF Bay Area of Northern California. It’s my daily driver, but I’m also using it for off-road fun and adventuring.

I do have a question though (just wanting to get some input):
I just found a crack in the side of my engine radiator (looks stock, has the plastic sides) and am going to need to replace it. My question is, with my daily driving but also some off-roading - would an OE replacement with plastic sides work okay for my driving purposes, or should I switch to an all aluminum radiator? And if I should go with the all aluminum radiator, any recommendations of which to get (that is on the cheaper side but not cheaply made)?

And thank you in advance!

OEM radiator is pretty much the best one to get unless you can get something purpose built like a Griffin one. Stick with OE everything if you can. It will be expensive but worth it.
Thanks for the feedback!

Any thoughts on the Mishimoto OEM replacement? Seems to have good reviews and it’s almost half the price of the Mopar OEM radiator.

Thanks for the feedback! Even $388 may be a bit outside my budget but I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks!

If you do a search here, you'll find mishimoto isn't that great in our Jeeps.
Oh ok gotcha. Good to know! Thanks for that! So stick with the Mopar OEM replacement then?

Any other relatively inexpensive OEM replacement radiators anyone would recommend besides Mopar? Is the Crown one any good? Anything else I should consider?

rockauto has wrangler radiators starting at $100

I replaced mine with UAC RA2957C

The non-Mopar OEM radiators are made just like the Mopars, not worth spending the extra $ in my opinion.
Thanks for the recommendation and feedback!

So I ended up going with a radiator that my friend who is a master mechanic with BMW was able to order through his parts department (through a company they use for non OEM parts) - and he even helped me install it last night. Thankful to be driving my Jeep again and not worrying about that issue.

Thank you again to everyone who provided feedback - it helped point me in the right direction!
