So has anyone powder coated a lift before, particularly around the Tampa, Florida area. I'm looking to powder coat a brand new 4" lift I'm getting to match my 2015 Tank Green Unlimited. Was wondering if anyone has done this and what the costs are? Is this a good idea or a waste of money. Thought it would look cool and be a little different.

Im guessing that you would have to take apart the spring package, and ream out the centering holes, as the powder coating will make the hole smaller...and the width wider...(although I am not sure how much tolerance you would have on the U-bolts,etc..)

Im also not sure how well the powder coat will 'last'. as the springs are constantly in motion and Iwould think almost every 'coating' would crack, over time and age...

im not sure how 'pretty' you need it to be... by maybe rattle can coatings will be a better choice.. this way, it can be touched up after 'abuse'... heheheh

Spoke to a place today. They powder coat lifts on a regular basis. They said most lifts come powder coated so the wear and tare are minimal. This company powder coats everything in the lift minus the shocks so they paint those to match. Everything out the door for $280. Still debating, thought the cost was a little $. Was hoping for 150-200
