Hi,
I'm new to posting on the forum but have followed the sound advice here for awhile now. I have a 94 YJ. My question is regarding my after market radio. It worked fine, memory retained programming and all, no problems until I put in a new starter. As my friend installed the new starter he was shocked due to my key just sitting in the ignition in off position. I'm wondering if something's wrong with the wiring. Jeep starts fine now. I noticed after starter was installed radio wouldn't turn off even with key out of ignition. I removed the radio face to stop it. Next day no radio at all.
I had had a previous problem with rain leaking in the hood cowl rubber thingy but it was corrected before radio died( thanks to this forums help) Perhaps water affected wires but I'm thinking it's more related to installing starter.
I checked all the fuses, under hood, under steering wheel, and on radio itself- all fine. I took cable off battery and rechecked battery cable but it's fine.Any one know what else I need to check? :happyyes:Thanks, any input is welcome.
