Does anyone have any experience with the cheaper aftermarket TPMS sensors on Amazon? I’m getting new wheels and tires soon, and was thinking about buying new sensors as well, so I can keep my old wheels complete. What brands are good/decent? I don’t want to spend huge bucks on OEM sensors if I don’t have to.

What year? They changed the frequency in 2011.For 2007-2010 should be 315MHz, for 2011-2018 should be 433Mhz.

Don't forget the spare. Most of the sets are 4, this link is to a set of 5. I am still running my originals as they were transferred from my factory wheels (in storage with the original rubber stems) the sensor/transmitters where screwed onto the metal valve stems on my new wheels. I have not had to replace any yet. When I do, this is one set I will try.

I have had good service from Schrader TPMS sensors on two different (non-Jeep) cars. They are a supplier to many OEMs. Specifically, I am using the Schrader programmable EZ-Sensors for winter/snow wheels/tires on a Honda and a Toyota that are too old to auto-detect TPMS sensors, so mine are cloned to match the OE sensors on my summer wheels/tires. They make OE replacement sensors for Jeeps.

Well they ain't cheap. I mean anything that just reminds you of your tire pressure shouldn't cost an arm and a leg but they do!

Guys had good luck with quadratech ones on here. Me, I just buy oem. I don't want to be pulling wheels on and off and having tires partially dismounted. I've replaced one in the almost 13 years of owning my jeep. I guess if you air down a lot and they are going off you will shorten the lifespan. I would look into the Schrader brand option if it would save some money. Good chance they are an oem supplier.
