Whatever you do. DO NOT park the 5 boroughs with the plate tucked in your windshield until you figure out what to do with it. You absolutely, positively, without a doubt get a $65 ticket. The meter trolls are everywhere, and they are relentless.

Maybe contact the people you got it from? BTW...what brand bumper is it? It's really one of the coolest I've seen. Been looking for one for awhile and would like to get one just like yours if they have a version that would accommodate a winch or come with a winch mounting plate.

I really like those eyelets. They'd look silly on my stock jeep though. I put some stock tow hooks on the front of mine, and got laughed at by one of my neighbors. He said I should be thinking more about a lift kit and some better wheels.

 

Try making something that uses a shackle mount to hold the plate.

 

Tjfunrun, Rustys offroad has similar bumpers. I think front and rear package starts around $350 or so. Add d-ring mounts and front hoop it's around $500 for both bumpers.

Does it have to be centred? You could make an L shaped bracket and use one of the fog light mounting holes maybe? Then zip tie the other end of the plate to stop it flapping?

 

No does not need to be centered, in fact I would prefer it to one side.

 

I've used adhesive Velcro strips in the past.
If you use enough, it's actually difficult to get the license plate off.
Great for stopping rattles too.
