Congrats, It looks great!

I was planning on factory ordering a Gobi 2 Door in August. However, it looks 2017 ordering closes in July. I guess I'll have one of the rare Gobi 2018 JK Classics. :D
Don't know about a 2018 Classic, but it could go down as a 2018 old style one. If I were Jeep I don't think I would have build two 2018 models, I just would have given the new jeep a 2019 year model and let it go.

I agree. It especially makes things difficult if you ever you need to buy replacement parts...it's just confusing!

Not sure I'd even consider a 2018 JL. Owning the first year of a new design can be risky.

I agree.

I was seriously torn about waiting for the 2018 so I could (hopefully) get a diesel, but was concerned about having the first year of a new model.

I ended up ordering a 2017. (Gobi, which is why I am even kicking around in this thread.)

Here's my 2017 Gobi JK Rubicon 2 door hardtop with manual transmission and dark tan interior/seats. This is my second Jeep after I sold my TJ, I did a factory order to get just what I wanted because nothing was available locally in Georgia. I've driven this one about 2,500 miles so far, and absolutely love the way it handles and looks.

Don't you find that this color is somewhat of a chameleon? Whatever backdrop you put it against, it blends in.
This is my first vehicle and I am 72 years old and my first color like this. My vehicle colors have always been, white, blacks, reds, silvers, yellows, bright colors. I've never had gold, brown, sand, green, or blue colors, that being said I don't know why I went with Gobi. Maybe it's because this is my first Jeep Wrangler and the color just grabbed my attention, for me it says, military, off road, and adventure, I'm sure for others it says something else.
