Silly question - Coolant Reservoir removal

Hi All,

A bit of a silly question but I was draining my coolant at the weekend (which was absolutely filthy) but couldn't figure out how to remove the coolant reservoir.

It seems like it should be a simple case of sliding it up and way but it seems to be in there tight and I didn't want to risk damaging anything. Do I just need to give it a little bit more force or is there something I need to disconnect or unscrew first?

try a little harder, they are just popped into place. it feels a bit weird the first time

I usually use a wide-blade screw drive to pry it lightly upwards as mine fits pretty tight.

Thanks guys, i'll give it a good tug at the weekend when I drain the coolant for the third (and hopefully final) time!

There is a release tab. Push the tab in with a flat blade screwdriver while pulling upward.

That right there. You can see it when standing in front of the Jeep and looking down at the front of the bracket that holds the reservoir. Push it in with a blunt tool and then pull up on the reservoir.
