Yep, very easy to take off/on. Can't leave em on though. And yes, the doors close flush into the surrounds, just like they do against the hard top. However, the Bestop Safari top I got has a velcro wrap to go around the roll bars that run into your windshield so you don't have to bother with the surrounds if you don't want to. If your interested I can see if my safari top has a model# on it.

 

our Jeep with the hard top does not have the door surrounds
yes, they are easy to remove, unscrew the two big knobs
yes, they close flush...there will be a gap w/o the surround

Yes, a small gap b/w the roll bar and the top of your door. You can look at that with the HT on and see what you'd be dealing with.

I can't find the exact part# on my safari top, it just listed 3 diff patent numbers (4600235, 4757854, 5947546) and I'm not thinking any of those are the part # (although they are same 7 digits as BT #'s are).
