Stuck Fuel Vent Tube

Lately when filling my gas tank I'm experiencing an overflow of fuel when it's topped off. I believe it may be due to a clogged or stuck fuel vent tube causing the trapped air inside the tank to blow up out the fill tube. Anyone experience this before and how do I get to the vent tube to un-clog it?
Thanks,
Chris

Is your Jeep a Cali Jeep or 49 state? I used to own a 49 state and never had this problem, but my current jeep is a cali jeep and it does this. The charcoal canister comment got me thinking about the extra evap crap that cali requires.

Also i dont think its the actual fuel tank cause i now have an aftermarket tank and it still does it

mines not a cali. Not the Cali Gasoline either as ive traveled many states and had the same problem. Hmm well the dealership may have replaced more than the aftermarket tank, its probably simply a valve that gets stuck. Someways to stop it is to stop fueling midway (atleast ive heard and I think its true). Give it a break and do it again, ive noticed it only mostly happens when I filled up alot of gas.

Yup mines an 05 and no longer under the 3 year warranty. Well I go through alot of forums and maybe I was talking about threads on there. But yea no ones come up with an exact answer, but the JKs also have this problem.

06 Rubicon. It started belch every fillup at around 59k miles (1 month ago). Never happened before that. I'm sure if it continues the paint and flare will get screwed up. I usually can't avoid stepping in the gas which then makes the whole interior stink. Not to mention it's costly for me and the environment. I did fill out a complaint on some vehilce recall page.
