it is a simple swap. I put an 05 console in my 98. Used the kicker 1 ohm sub as a replacement and couldn't be happier. You will have to make a wiring harness for it though. I have done two of them (mine and a friends) and there is not much to it. If you want send me a pm with your email and I can send you some install help tomorrow. Got it all on my PC at work.
Sweeeeet! Pm sent.

Neither can an amplifier's output Impedance be measured like that DJ claims he did. If you were to see the formula for calculating impedance you'd quickly see what is being said here. :)
It absolutely can. Not to say the DJ actually did it, seeing as how I wasn't actually there and all, but it certainly can be done. I am an electrical engineer, I don't need to be lectured (i.e. condescended to) about electrical calculations...I realize they are complicated...I spent too many hours in college PROVING that they were complicated...but to say that equipment doesn't exist to measure them is simply ignorant.

Once again, impedance cannot be measured with an Ohmmeter which can only measure simple DC resistance, not impedence. Not even the world"s most accurate digital multimeter can measure impedence which is different from simple DC resistance that it does measure. Neither can an amplifier's output Impedance be measured like that DJ claims he did. If you were to see the formula for calculating impedance you'd quickly see what is being said here. :)
Jerry, I highly respect your opinions and pay great attention to your posts because they offer a great amount of knowledge.
For years, we have always used a DMM to get an idea of a speakers impedance by probing the + & - points on a speaker that didn't have an ohm rating listed. I'm not saying it's right, but it's how several people I know have done it through the years. It more or less lets you know what the ohm rating is for that particular voice coil. Again, I'm not saying it's right or wrong!

Now, I'm not trying to insult your intelligence or anyone else here, but here is one of many links that state what I'm trying to say!!
