Thank You All: :Thanx:First, I want to thank all of you for sharing information and helping each those in need. Now I feel that I have to return the favor and contribute.

Little History: I read almost everything here on how to upgrade the Map on 430N RHB from 2014 to City Navigator North America 2018.20 on this forum.
I upgraded, down graded the firmware versions of the unit and tried loading the map upgrade (GMAPPROM.IMG with the JCV folder and tried loading GMAPSUPP.IMG and JVC folder via DVD and various USBs, you name it and I did it with no success. Obviously, what I was doing was doing wrong combination or missing something important. After trying and trying your suggestion, I was successful at the end.

AT Last SUCCESS was acheived!!! :winner::beerdrinking::beerme:
Here is what I did to make this work. Download or open the PDF file below which has the complete guide and screen shots of every step of the process of map upgrade.

I had problem yesterday while posting the PDF. The PDF was large and was exceeding allowed upload limit. I didn't ven thought that my first post was posted. I was getting errors.

I attempted to upload word document version of the guide with reduced image size and small per file size. The weird thing is when I am open g the links from either of my posts, it opens the PDF version. I don't even see the word document version. It should open on your iPad as I am opening it and didn't have the file on iPad beforre.

Answers:
1. I got the firmware from these two places:
Download Now | MyGig RHB 50.01.01 Software Update

https://www.mydrive.ch/browse#/24857915/MyGIG 430N - RHB Garmin
Username: mygig@soxag
Password: gasolio

2. Did not need serial for the Map.

3. I haven't tested the junction view. Even if it doesn't work, I am still happy without junction view since the map has new roads and info.

The only thing I lost in the process was the Jeep Default picture on the screen with green background (black now) and Sat Channel Logos/Artworks are gone too. I am working on that.

Thanks for the information JK Roller.

Another success story here.

Mine is a MY2016. It was already RHB16. Using version 60.00.03.

Downloaded files from above and installed on several USB sticks with no success. Went out and purchased a new Sandisk and still would not work.
So I started messing around. I found that I had to re name the GMAPSUPP.IMG to GMAPSUPP only. No .IMG. That worked like a charm.

Got the confirmation the maps were updated. Everything still works as far as the picture and Sirius channels.

Thank you guys!
I followed @JK_ROLLER steps and @jaybot firmware upgrade plus @Harrybeerbelly screenshot.
I made my 2015JK RHB15 map upgrade from 2015 to 2018.30
:iamhappy:
so the tricks is
  1. Downgrade to 50-01-01.iso
(Yeah it sucks) and I couldn't got back to latest version (51.00.09) for (but for the sack of new maps who cares about software version as long as it works:lmao:) (Audio software also being downgrade from 031214 to022113 )
  2. Upgrade Garmin Software from RHB15 5.19 use GUPDATE.GCD (RHB17 7.09) mentioned by (@jaybot. I finally make it work after I downgrade the application software ) it took 15 minutes
  3. Upgrade NA 2018.30
  • Kingston 8G usb stick
  • 2018.30 unlocked map structure
(extra Garmin folder & garmin.txt from @Harrybeerbelly don't know why need it. But I tried seems wont work if without that)

I've been lucky and have had a personal assistant today. Thanks JayBot.
I successfully upgraded my 2013 Wrangler 430N to 50.01.01. HOWEVER, I got stuck in the Garmin loop. Stereo worked fine except when I touched NAV I just got Garmin splash screens looping with no Loading maps. After a few hours of trying everything I read in this thread and the 430n-rhb-updated-with-garmin-city-navigator-2014-10-nt- thread I used the 50.01.01 iso to extract just the Garmin folder and it's contents which is the gupdate.gcd file and copied it to my flash drive. Then I entered Service mode and from the System > PDU I chose emergency update. NOW I am no longer in the Garmin splash screen loop.
After a good nights sleep I will attempt to update the map but I'm wondering if I have to do the supplemental option or if I can update the map with jcv's.

Conclusion- I have a 2013 Wrangler. The 430N had never had any updates done. It is my belief that you have to upgrade to each version of gupdate.gcd (5.11, 5.19 & 7.11) in order successfully, power cycle or reboot the 430N after each update and then you can update your map. It is also my belief that you must format the thumb drive EVERY time you write an update to it. Also, if you insert it into the usb on the front and you get “No files found” you need to format it again and reload the thumb drive. And YES! You MUST have patience. If you get the “reading files” message at least wait 15 mins to see if it actually does start to load. (I waited 30 mins once and it didn’t load, reformatted, reloaded the thumb drive and the next time it only took 10 mins to complete. Once it does load- the update goes pretty quickly. This is all in reference to the GARMIN firmware or software NOT the maps.
MAPS - once all of the Garmin updates are complete you can reformat the thumb drive, load your UNLOCKED gmapsupp.img and jcv folder and files and insert into the usb on the front of the 430N. This update did take a while but you do get to see the progress. You will be prompted to load supplemental maps.

Question - following @SeptemberC notes above, I have the 5.19 and 7.11 updates but I'm missing the 5.11 files. Does anyone have a link for this update?

My current specs after unbricking by using the MyGig files are:

Model RHB14

Software Version 4.18

Audio 2.10

Text 4.18

GPS: 4.15.03

If I’m not mistaking.... the 5.11 is the one included with the 50.01.01 update.

arfeifei Why did you load it as a supplemental map?

  1. Upgrade NA 2018.30

  • Kingston 8G usb stick
  • 2018.30 unlocked map structure
(extra Garmin folder & garmin.txt from @Harrybeerbelly don't know why need it. But I tried seems wont work if without that)

So you were able to download maps under 50.x.x.x and not downgrade to 33.x.x.x? What year is your vehicle?
