Tread Size and Pitch for Hose Fittings on Stearing Gearbox?

I have an '04 Sport and my steering box is bad. My mechanic got the only replacement any of his suppliers had and the threads are busted.

He said he could try and tap them to clean them up but he needs to know the exact size of the threads and what the pitch of the hose fittings was. I figured somebody here must know!

How much did you pay for junk? Look on CL' eBay, vendors here on WF, WF classified area ( you need 15 posts first) , call West Texas off road. Welcome to WF.

Here's one in CO that actually works!

Thanks for the welcome! It was going to be a $250 or so reman unit, but in its condition I don't think I (or my mech) will be paying for it unless he can rethread it and figure out what the pitch for the hoses is (and honestly I've no idea what that means or why it's important, just something he asked me to try and find out)

I'm not super comfortable ordering a unit like that from across state lines on Craigslist but I appreciate the input!

Me mech has found a "$250 used box in unknown condition" a "$400 no-name remanufactured box" and a "$650 AGR conversion box that's got all the upgrades and is no longer a Mercedes box"

I'm not a fan of either of those three options so I was hoping it'd be easy to find the thread size and pitch so we could used the one he was sent. I can't really afford the $650 one and don't trust an "unknown condition box" similar to the CL find, was the pitman arm seized and had to be man handled to get it off? Trying to reduce slop not potentially have it the same or worse! If nobidy knows the thread size and pitch then matbe the best bet is the $400 Noname reman? :/ Still a buck fifty more than I was hoping to spend

Get a hold of West Texas off road, they rebuild and port boxes. And do a great job! I sent my PSC to them for porting. The one in Colorado at $75 is a great price even if it needed to be rebuilt.
