I just put in the 4 in currie lift on my TJ. I went with the Bilstein 5100's.. Love the ride and lift.

I believe the currie coils reach bind at 4.5". If you run your axle up to that point, you could measure for your shocks compressed length.

I ran Bilstein 5100's on three different Jeeps, and plan to swap out the Pro Comps on this current build.

5100's or 9000's. I currently have the 5100's on my TJ and am happy with them when the hard top and doors are off. When the Jeep is loaded down it could use a stiffer/adjustable set up. I ran the 9000's on a prior set up and my current tow rig(2500HD) and really like them.

A well-known Jeep builder and suspension designer I know once opined this on the Bilstein 5100. Install them if you want to know if the quarter you just drove over was heads or tails. :)

Bilsteins are great for a heavier vehicle. They are a poor shock for the TJ in my opinion. I have 5100s and they are way to stiff. I recently drove a jeep with Ranchos in the front and tuned foxes in the rear. What tosses me out of my seat I couldnt even feel in his.

I ran them for a couple of years, and then installed a set of OME Nitrochargers...night and day difference. The Bilsteins are very harsh on low-speed, small movement type of events. Small bumps, cracks in the pavements, etc. The Nitrochargers are a LOT smoother, in comparison. I never have a concern, even over a washboard type road...with the Bilsteins, I always wondered if I was going to loose it because the suspension couldn't keep up.

9000s on mine. Really like the adjustability. Rancho runs rebate deals occassionally if you can hold off. Mine ended up at $60 or $70 each iirc.
