Sorry for the dumb question, new guy here. I am looking to get some new wheels but am not really sure where to look. Do most people buy them online and then have someone local put on or are there stores where you can get this done at?

Thanks for any help

If you go to a website that sells both wheels and tires (discount tire, tire rack, Quadratec, etc) you can purchase a wheel and tire package and they will come mounted and balanced. Option 2 is to buy your wheels online and then take them to a local tire shop to purchase tires and have them mounted on your wheels. Option 3, depending on availability in your area, is to go to a local shop that sells wheels and tires and buy both there.

Ive ordered from Summit Racing in the past, approx 5 or 6 years ago. They had excellent customer service then. Possibly still do. A lot of the suggestions above are solid. Dealing local would be great but none of them would match online retailer pricing.

My newest wheels, I ordered through CARID.com And my tires, from Discount Tire Direct. And yes, they do have fantastic customer support. Had them mounted and balanced locally.

Best of wishes

I order lots of stuff from Summit Racing and they are great with CS and fast shipping. - They have a big distribution center in Nevada and I get it fast to Arizona. They have a pretty impressive amount of inventory over a wide range of categories. Don’t really hear much about them on this forum, I think mainly because they are not a Jeep specific supplier.

I ordered thru discount tire direct (via messaging thru this forum initially with Matt @Discount Tire), and they provided me an abundance of info regarding backspacing and offset. Once I made a decision on the wheels I wanted, they made all the arrangement with the discount tire store closet to me for the install. When I showed up for the actual install, the folks at the local discount tire store treated me like royalty.

I ordered my Dirty Life bead locks from Custom Offsets. Everywhere else was out of stock on them and had an unknown wait time on the backorder. Crazy thing is that all five of them arrived at my house before I had the tracking number. It was literally less than a day. I think I ordered them about 4pm one evening and they arrived before noon the next morning. I got an email confirmation with tracking the day after that. Mind blown!😁 This does not in any way help me with my tires that have been on back order with Summit since this past April though...........

I got mine on extreme terrain, I think the Mammoth brand they have is very reasonably priced. And they all have a nice look to them and are all hub centric

It depends where you are and what you want. I shop at a local shop called Tucker Tire.
