For the OX locker I went with tthe electric actuator rather then full on mechanical or air. The actuator is weather sealed and capable of being mounted out in the elements, however, I decided to mount the actuator under the dash out of the elements and where i could hear it engaging..

Nice build , man! I have an '11 four door that I am about to regear to Yukon 5.13s with an electric actuated OX rear locker. Mine is the 42RLE auto on 37" KO2s . How , after some time, have you come to feel about the gear ratio and locker? I think OX are underrated and I am going with them due to durability and the 'drive-away' lock option. The gearing choice is obvious over my stock 4.10. I appreciate any info on your long-term usage and opinion or advice. What rear axle shafts did you choose? Yukon, right?
Thanks!

So far I'm at about 20,000klm on the new gears and front OX locker. I went with 5.38 Yukon gears due to size and weight of the Pitbulls. Turned out to be a good choice for me.
The OX works flawless. I highly recommend it to everyone.
I am running stock rear axle shafts but will be upgrading to Ten Factory this spring.

Seriously an amazing build! Comparable to stock Dana's your axle are a BRUT! Sorry for the pun!
That was Brutal!:)

Seriously... I'm not sure how many people know the difference between stock and aftermarket items. I love the pics of the wheels. If you still have your old Dana's post a side by side picture of what you have now with them. I was thinking about running 37's before I did the gear swap in my jeep. A stock axle seems way to weak to to handle such a monster tire.

I'm looking forward to making my last jeep payment. Axle swaps will be my first mod!

Great Thread! Subscribed!:winner: 5 STARS!

FYI for anyone changing axle seals. The newest Mopar upgrade seal is Mopar PN 68304271AA. Much heavier then the previous seals. the original 5014852AB for 2007-12 then updated in 2013 to same PN# but AC (5014852AC) instead of AB . The AC is a 2 piece seal as is the new upgraded 68304271AA. They are all interchangeable..

Snapped both Crown Auto axles off just before the splines. It Took out the axle seals and carrier side bearings are in poor shape. Cleaned all up, replaced carrier bearings and all back together with new RCV axles. Here is the carnage. Bearings were cut off, that's why they are in pieces. Ends of the axle shafts shattered into pieces.
