yeah. nor does it block the turn signals. which is clear from the pics you and i both posted. it's been so long i don't recall but when i sent my Moab to the AEV shop to do the upgrade to the dual sport suspension, I had them add the tube (aka "hoop" lol). what i don't recall is if they just upcharged me and added it to to the AEV tubeless that came with Moab edition off the lot, or if they fully replaced the bumper. I do specifically recall that the rear bumper (which also was AEV off the lot for the Moab in '13) did come pre configured to just add the AEV spare and tool carrier which I also did at the time.
I hope if I did get the bumper without a hoop that they’d sell it to me separately and I can weld it on myself. I emailed them, seeing what they say back!
 
So that bumper pictured is acutally an early AEV bumper, pre 2012 I want to say? The reason the brace/bracket behind the bumper is different is because AEV did a running change on their bumpers. The giveaway is the middle vent size. Look at how the vents are a rounded top "square" shape, and the bottom starts in the middle of the bumper. The tube also is welded on the bumper where the bumper is slanting up to go over the winch.

The later bumpers have a smaller "rectangle" center vent size, like pictured. Also not the tube attaches on the outside of the rasied "bump" over the winch.

The reason why it's worth noting, is AEV from what I understand does not make parts for the early design, such as the winch cover plate and other brackets, that are unique to the early models.

Other thing you can look for is AEV did a 3rd running change around 17-18 with the large seem where the top plate meets the front plate. The early bumpers are closed gap welded, which can trap moisture/dirt, which over time leads to rust and corrosion. The later style ones have a small gap (3-4mm) between the front and top plates, which prevents moisture and dirt from getting trapped.

Wondering if anyone could possibly provide the dimensions for the front AEV tube bull bar. I’ve located a very cheap AEV tubeless and am toying with the idea of making a recreation of the tube myself and welding it on.

Well I bought the bumper lol. It’s in great condition, all hardware and brackets included for 250, thought it was a steal. New year new bumper I suppose

this one is on the Facebag right now. Comes with the rear.

What’s a good price for it new? I’ve seen a huge variation in price for the front bumper so I’m 🤷🏻‍♀️ as to what’s reasonable.
New, you're looking at $1200 for a front OR rear. AEV does not give discounts, ever. Considering that AEV is on the brink of discontinuing production on JK parts, that price will likely only go up with time. Personally, I am a huge AEV fan, and I've debated buying a front/rear pair just to have as spares for my JK because of that.

Used, it's all over the place. That listing for $650 front and rear isn't too shabby, around here in UT tubeless fronts normally go for $200-$400, and the rears around $300-$600. The tubed fronts rarely dip below $500, but I've seen it happen. Just watch out for rust and corrosion, especially on the earlier models that have the welded seem on the front before they added a small air gap.

Got the lights mounted up thanks to the Rubitrux light mount. AEV stopped making their own. Also put on the AEV skid plate. Looks very complete now. I still want to eventually have a steel shop make me a hoop for the bumper, but I need the AEV hoop measurements, I want it to look oem to the AEV version. Maybe the hoopless will grow on me though! I do really like it.

Anyone know if I’d be able to bend this back? It doesn’t line up with the fender on the passenger side. It does on the other side. I think the previous owner partially bent it somehow. Can it be bent back and how?

That looks great with the KC lights! Nicely done.

As for the misalignment with the fender, mine looked the same when I first installed it. I was able to loosen the mounting bolts and shift the bumper just enough to make it line up better and it's been good for the last 4 years.

Mounting bolts as in the 4 that connect to the frame horn? Or the ones on the side of the bumper?
