Hi so I had read about problems with the wranglers over the years and I have seen certain years worse then others, but I was always wondering what kind of problems are coming up with the 2014 wrangler so far. . .

So with out further adieu:

Please list:

*Model(Ex. Unlimited or 2 door.)
*Trim ( sport, Sahara, Rubicon, etc)
*How many miles you have so far
*Miles when issue started (approx)
*Issue along with what parts involved (ie, transmission, list if its auto or 6-speed)
*What steps if any have come to resolve the issue
*Whether the issue has happened again or not
*What has jeep done or said about the issue

Thanks everyone !!

Edit: I notice this may be in the wrong area, Mods please move this as needed, Thank you

Model: 2 door
Trim: Sport S
Miles: 2300 so far
Miles when issue: 180
Issue with parts: 2 collapsed heads in engine
Steps taken: All heads in engine replaced

Hasn't recurred since heads replaced, and dealership had no problem taking in my Wrangler and fixing it. Took it in on a Wednesday, got it back the following Tuesday.

After having my 2014 Sport 2Dr for less than a week, I had to replace the suspension, all 5 tires and wheels, upgrade the front bumper, add secure storage, additional lights, and side armor/steps.

This thing will probably require even more work soon!

2014 JKU
Rubicon X
300 miles
Dealer fixed all the issues

Intake manifold emission sensor failed and check engine went on.

UConnect Issues:
- Voice command is nearly useless, even after training the system
- No 24 hour clock (If there is it's so hidden that neither the dealer or UConnect knows how to change it)
- USB Port only works with a FAT formated USB stick, so you cannot connect your phone to upload pics or music.
- Voice commands jump back to main menu for no reason.
- Unintuitive system interface and cumbersome steps to navigate
- Steering wheel controls only work for the Radio, not for navigating, media, phone book, etc.

Juicehead - is that the driver side?
MSpieglel00 - What are collapsed heads? Never heard this term.

Model: 2 door
Trim: Sport S
Miles: 2100
Miles when issue: 500
Issue with parts: Drivers side door leak
Steps taken: Taken to dealership to be fixed. Waiting on good rain to see if leaks.

Smart ass . . . lol

I guess I don't understand this thread.

There are no problems related to the 2014 that have not already been mentioned in other years and in other threads.

The biggest problem that I know of relates only to Sports that came with the RBZ radio but didn't get the extra USB port.

2012's and early 2013's had the AA and AB heads. Jury is still out on the AC heads.

Other possble issues since 2012.
Casting sand
Jeep gurgle
Recall on tranny line
Water pump

2014 JKUR
1400 miles

-roof leaks - first and every time it rains
-engine blew heads - 45 miles - out of commission for a week
-transmission leak - 175 miles - still leaks
-ripped my cloth seat when checking the transmission leak - 175 miles
-4 wheel drive quit working when I changed the windshield washer fluid- 914 miles
-Glove box light melted and started small interior fire - 1,001 miles

So far the last 399 miles have been carefree and it's running great now! Hopefully I've gotten all the bugs out of it now and I can just enjoy my jeep!

Are these 2 for reals, for real!?!??!

Daggo, I have a stack of "repairs" starting to pile up in the garage as well. Brown Santa is getting tired of all the heavy boxes. LOL

No, none of it was for real. :lmao:

I have had 1400 miles of awesome driving so far. No complaints here.
Atta boy Sucker.

My issue started at mile 1 and all 125 since. The external temperature gauge is stuck in the 20's which locks the top to the Jeep. Dealer said it may take a few months to fix.

13 jku 0 issues in 19000 miles so far 14 jkur has 2500 miles and no issues.
