Anyone know whats going on with 4wheelparts.com ?

I ordered some parts a while back almost a month ago.
I have tried calling no one answers the phone. No one responds through email.

People were saying the same thing on instagram...and now you can not comment on their page.

I can't speak to any issues with 4WP directly but I have definitely had issues with other vendors since the whole COVID thing started. I've had partial orders ship with no word on the rest of the order. I've had drop ship orders that took over a month to get here. Lot's of stuff backordered. Between quarantine and the general disruption to supply chains and distribution, there are planty of issues slowing things down.

Have you tried calling one of their retail stores directly to see if they can at least look up the status of your order?

I've had a RE lift kit on order since 4/30, called on 6/1 and got through (on their 800 line. they have limited hours so you have to time it right. I would imagine with all the backordered stuff they are getting overrun with calls) and was told they were expecting to ship on the 15th, hasn't shipped as of today, but we're hoping.....

Ok. Thats good news. If you could give an update later let me know. I had 2 orders one got canceled and didn't go through. So I put another one in about a month ago....and haven't received an update.

I think i understand the covid thing. I am on the planet 🌏.

My concern is with them shutting down their instagram comments and not answering the phone.

Go ahead give them a call...first person to get through in less then 2 hours of hold time wins.

Here's the number 800 257 5629

I had the lift kit on my to do list, so it was no real hurry, was on good sale and saved $200, which made it worth the wait, had I really needed it I would have went with amazon, but, Q-Tec isn't doing too much better, M.O.R.E. Steering Brace going on 4 weeks backorder now too... Apparently Jeeping isn't an "essential business", Little do they know that the only way to stay sane with everyone staying at home, I really need my shop time to stay out of the womenfolk's way and maintain my sanity. LOL

I agree about Amazon! Very disappointed in some of their delivery dates. As a Prime member I'm rather PO'd because I'm paying for FREE 2 day delivery and now some items are taking more like 2 weeks. I can now get better delivery times from many online vendors that offer free shipping. Going to have to rethink paying 120 bucks for Prime membership when it's time to renew. I realize the so called pandemic has resulted in delays but I don't see Amazon offering reduction in membership fees.

Take this with a grain of sale, but I know a guy who ordered something from 4WP's store near his house. He kept getting the run around about delays when he called. He go so frustrated after his last conversation with the store manager, he called the manufacturer directly AND they told him 4WP has not paid their bills, so this particular manufacturer was no longer sending them product. I realize this is anecdotal at best, but use the information however you see fit.

Since I'm not familiar with the Polaris statement, what's the issue? Here in N. Texas I haven't had an issue with my local 4WP when I've ordered online, aside from a follow up call from the store last year when I first ordered my replacement HT and was told that they were on backorder. I cancelled the order, later reordered this year, and I had it on my Jeep within a week or so as I recall. Things may be different now due to COVID as others have said. It also helped that I made the order for the HT during one of their promotional periods (and got cash back via an online redirect as well).

Well. Here is the update. Just over a month later my first part came in that I ordered.

It is not what I ordered ; ( UGGGH. Now how to deal with the return of a company that does not pick up the phone, does not respond to emails, and won't allow comments on their social media.
All of this because I tried to save $10.

I only tried to buy stuff from 4WP once. They emailed me about a great sale they were having on tires last year (before the Covid thing). I was impressed at the price, needed tires quickly (they were shown as In Stock and Ready to Ship), and they claimed to have them in stock at that price. I ordered them. Later I hear back from them that the tires are out of stock and it will be a while. I talked to them about other tires they had in stock, to see if they could make me a similar deal on another set of tires. Nope. So I cancel the order. Less than a week later they email me again trying to sell me the same tires, again marked as In Stock and Ready to Ship, at the same great price. But I had already ordered other tires, also at a great price, from a more reliable vendor (Northridge 4x4), and even if I had not I would not make the same mistake twice.

I just got off the phone after calling a random employee finding a way through extensions.

Chuck said "many people are frustrated and so are our employees. How do you expect for us to sell a product that manufacturers aren't making."

I could not believe my ears. my response "If they are not making it, you do not put it on your website for sale." He hung up the phone. WOW, just wow. LOL I can't believe this company.

My guess is their repeat business is almost ZILCH! Just a question of time before this outfit joins the ranks of OOB!!

Big stuff like axles, bumpers, sliders, roof racks I have called the manufacturer directly and ordered. One exception was Odyssey fenders I ordered from Northridge and that worked out great, although I did first call the manufacturer and asked about stock and lead time.

I have only had an issue with Quadratec on one order and that was 5 years ago. I needed to replace my fog lights on the TJ after hitting a deer (I almost got stopped and the plastic fog light was the total damage). I ordered on line and when I didn't get a "shipped" notice shortly I found out it would be several weeks. I cancelled and got them somewhere else. BUT that was on their old system which never told you it would be a while. Now, their system has a yellow block saying "Shop In-Stock Items" and if they have an estimated ship date, it is shown right above the yellow block. If there is no yellow block, they are in stock and ready to ship. Very welcome change several years ago on their system.

Most of my orders from Quadratec show up in two to three days. Granted, the larges thing I have ever ordered were the five new wheels for the Chief. They did take three days. They are my go to vendor and their website is my primary search tool. They also don't get sidetracked to non Jeep vehicles.

I think the attitude of some of the bigger vendors is one of you are fortunate we are here to sell you items.

Everyone is out of products, but Northridge at least has the item listed whether it is in stock or not. It is up to the second updated. I ordered a AEV Salta a month ago and they sent me an email confirming the purchase but it also said it was not in stock and did not know when AEV would ahve it back for them. I went back to the site and it showed out of stock. I simply missed it when I ordered. Immediate refund and I found it in stock on Qtec. Northridge is the only big company I am aware of with up to the minute warehousing information.

I had the same issues every time I shopped there. I go elsewhere now, problem solved.

I have bought from a few vendors, Quadratec is one day shipping away, so they get some of my business. I also shop at Northridge, and I have shopped with Jason and Austin @ Krawl OffRoad. I am also a fan of Allen @ AOR. But honestly, my one attempt to purchase from 4WP was the only bad experience I have had buying stuff for the Jeep, outside of how expensive this stuff is and sometimes it is out of stock. Everyone else has either been great, or at least good, experiences.

OK. So I took the advice of another user here and called at 6am pacific standard time. And yeah! only had to be on hold for 30 minutes! Got ahold of someone, and got my return label. LOL I learned my lesson once again (hopefully). Waiting on package 2 of 2 today. Hopefully that comes right (Rhino Rack Spade ((shovel)).

I have worked in retail for 30 years and have never experienced such a shortage of goods. Customers look at me puzzled when I tell them that there are global supply shortages. Just because your Governor lets you roam the cabin now, does not mean businesses are back to normal.
Support your local businesses now and local Jeep shops. Focus on regular maintenance items and less on accessories that are usually only bling anyway. Go have fun, wear your mask, and appreciate what you do have.
