I take: car seat, child, wife, 7.5 Lt. Water in that box with the cover, 7 Lt. Water in a barrel cooler, 8.5 liters in bottles behind the center console, one 5 liter bottle of water behind the passenger seat, one 2 liter sprayer bottle full in the back. Also in the back is a compressor, first aid, sand tracks, air jack, jumper cable, bottle jack, wrench for tires, tool box with hand tools repair things, and a puncture kit, iron rebar pieces, bathroom tent, bag for collecting wood, small sprayer to clean zippers, and blankets and extra jacket. Under the back seat is a cheap tow strap, machete, fire screen, and head coverings. Also behind the passenger seat is a Shell tent. On the back seat and over wheel wells is food for the trip and maybe extra bedding. Behind the driver seat are any bags for the clothes and toiletries. Hanging on the drivers seat is a vest with useful things in the pockets, binoculars, and a good recovery strap. In the passenger seat pocket is a folding shovel. Hanging on the passenger seat is a backpack with emergency food, extra water storage, ratchet straps, boots, camp stove. In the center console are trash bags, d rings, first aid, matches, little hats, a fake wallet, gum (to keep awake), perfume oil. In the glove box are tools i use a lot, matches, air gauge, stem remover, 2 radios, and batteries, knife, and a can with small things like nail clippers and stem covers. On the sound bar are bungie cords. The bag for collecting light wood goes on the spare tire, heavy wood goes on the bumper. I still have space to pile things in the back or on the center console of I need it.
I'm sure i forgot something. I reject the idea that a two door is too small for family camping. Just buy small things, use all space, and secure what might fly if you bump.
