Hello All!

Can anyone who has had Cooper Discoverer STT Pro tires chime in and let me know any pros or cons you've experienced with these tires? I found a good deal on 5 of them with 15k miles, size 315/70 17s ("35s"). Please let me know. Thanks in advance!

I've had both the Maxx and Pro ---- both great tires.
Unless you spend most of your time offroad, stay with the Maxx. They work much better on the street and are much quieter.

I have Pros on right now and they're getting so loud that I can't hear my ham/cb with the windows open at 45mph. Can't hear the gps at 40...
Work great offroad though. Never had a better tire for the nasty stuff.

No Cons at all! I have the exact size you are asking about. 315/70R 17's. I love them to no end and have no plans to run anything else. I run them in snow, mud, sand, dirt, slick rock, ice, wet granite rock, wet pavement....
On road I keep the psi at 32. Off road I air down to 15psi. Pretty quiet on the road compared to most aggressive tires. They grip like nothing else I've run and will fit on stock 17" wheels.
The only thing I have yet to experience is longevity. I'm expecting 40 to 45 K miles out of them but we'll see. All depends on how hard I'm wheeling off road.
You will not be sorry if you get these Cooper STT Pros....I love mine!

PS...can I ask what the good deal is you got on all 5 tires? I paid $319 for each brand new + mount and balance....

I'm going back to the Maxx when it's time for new shoes. I'm thinking of going pizza cutter again, 255/85-16.

Have the 315's as well. About 3500 miles on them so far and no complaints. Great snow, mud, and wet traction and not too loud (for an aggressive tire). I found the radio at volume 13 takes care of the noise. Someone mentioned weight and I agree, they were about 80 pounds per tire after mounting on a 17x9 Quadratec Moab wheel which is on the heavy side. DTD had them for 303 per tire when I bought them for reference.
