I have an opportunity to get rust free door shells from a 2000 TJ. I have a 1990 Wrangler I'd like to make them fit. I've read the strikers are different. Other than that would the doors work? They're rust free and I can get them for next to nothing. I'll need to get the latches, regulator, and glass to complete them. Will these doors fit the opening? Someone tried to tell me that the windshield angle is different. Doesn't sound right because we can use TJ uppers(modified pins to fit a YJ half door) on a half door to fit a hard top. If these can be used, I know that someone here has done it. Lemme know ok please. I'd hate to pass these up and regret it later.

Different striker plus different inside handle location so that with YJ doors on a TJ speaker girls block inside handle access

Also YJ have vent windows and outside flipper handles open opposite way so that a right outside door handle for a TJ is a left outside door handle for a YJ

But yes should fit the opening

Here's anotherthread that will help show the strikers you'll need.

Went and picked up the doors. Not as stripped clean as the seller made them sound. He actually found the one door glass and a box with handles, weather stripping, window crank handles, the hardware, and some mirrors. All for $150. I'll need to get one window glass and the interior panels. Not bad for the price.

Fix up the tj doors n sell or swap em for yj doors...

You'll see when you try to put em on that the way they fit the tub is different.... tj tops n doors are pricey n cj/yj stuff can be had cheap.

Full doors for YJ's are not cheap around here either. For a half decent set you're looking at $600 and they'll still have issues.

Switching half doors to full doors or vice versa is a total and complete Cluster muck. What a waste of time and effort trying to make that happen, never again...

I got half doors for my 95 off another 95( i have full doors) and would not fit, the hinges were all different, i cant believe Jeep did that. I wasted a whole day trying to figure that one, at least you decided to ask first.

There are more adjustments to the doors than some people realize. I've done body work in the past so I'm up for the challenges. I know folks that have their doors set to where they can swap to them out and full and half doors are adjusted the same. Takes patience and time to adjust it there.

full doors hard top

so with miner mods to the windshield frame the tj hardtops will fit the YJ haven't messed with the clips yet but fits pretty good as for the doors i went with the yj doors i got some for real cheep so i just went with them
