I'm looking for gun rack options for rifles, I've seen this on Extreme Terrain website, are they any other options? And if anyone has this gun rack pictured below, is it a well-made, or worth the money? Thanks in advance!

My friend had similar or very close setup as the picture. He didn't like the way it crimps/crease the roll bar covers plus it deforms over the time. So, he took it to me to weld on 2 of wide sheet metal (4" x 6" sheet each if I recall) to both sides' Y saddles to spread the load on the roll bar foam covering. Then he added large hose clamps to both ends to help hold the whole thing without rattling around too much especially on very rutty roads. The adjustment bolt/nut pressure can be too much to cause the bar tube to bend in the middle. Just not very strong center tube. The foam does break down over time so he have to tighten the hose clamps once a while then it stays put for long time. But later, he decided to have a floor/tunnel mounted rack in left front of his passenger's front seat instead - quicker/easier access to it, I guess. All this in my home state where it allows to carry uncased rifle in hunting season as long the round is not chambered.

I hope this info helps.

Yes, thanks for your reply and it does help to hear other people's opinions or experiences. I was looking for an honest response on the gun rack pictured above or maybe another suggestion for a gun rack. I never thought about the roll bar covers deform over time. I'll keep on looking, thanks again.

I have no experience with the one you linked to.

Might I ask for what purpose? Is this for occasional hunting trips, camping trips or for every day use? How quickly do you need to access the rifle? How secure does it need to be?

There are boxes that mount/secure in the rear cargo area (and are hidden), there are also rear seat options

I bought a Smittybilt drawer thing off Facebook marketplace that bolts into the rear of 4 door. I have tools, recovery, and other safety equipment that is lockable.

it does take up a lot of space but, the secured space makes up for it.

I would prefer to have something that would be more in arms reach simply because I will be carrying mostly every day. If it wasn't for carrying mostly every day, I would consider something more secure like what you have that I could just lock securely in a box.
