Help! Mopar Rubicon Hard Rock, X & 10th Anniversary Front Bumper Fitting - Unknown parts!

I've just bought a new 10th anniversary bumper for my JK (part number 82213653AB) from an online marketplace here in Dubai. I downloaded the fitting instructions and fitted the bumper which wasn't a problem, but... I've still got a load of extra parts that come with the bumper and no idea what they are for and there is no mention of these extras in the instructions. I'm wondering whether anyone on the forum has the same bumper and can shine a light on what the extra parts are for?

Here is the bumper online at Quadratec where I found the basic info and fitting instructions: Quadratec link

First anomaly is this large tray. I was assuming this is for a winch and fits between the chassis bumper mounts. After doing some research if found a mopar winch mounting kit (part number 82214786AB) which is designed specifically for my bumper and sold separately. It looks nothing like the tray I was given with the bumper - confusing.

I think I may have worked out how to fit the recovery points using 2 strange looking plates shown below with bolts welded to the back (4 of these in the pack), but I couldn't work out how do I fit the bottom bolt (see further image below)? Seems odd to use another one of the plates just for one bolt and there are no corresponding separate nuts in the pack.

Here are some more extra parts below. I spent all afternoon looking for info on the internet and didn't get anywhere. The only thing I did work out was that multiple online stores sell this bumper complete with all the parts I had supplied with my bumper. Therefor, I'm not in any doubt that I was sold the correct parts.

Any help would be great, even a picture of the same bumper fitted to your jeep would be useful!

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Welcome to the forum.

The 'extra' parts that you have are not part of a real Mopar 10A bumper part number 82213653AB . If you are not planning on installing a winch, don't worry about installing the winch mounting plate. The red plates appear to be for a place to mount shackles for recovery, but that is not a suitable place for them and I would not use them (and Class 4.8 hardware for any recovery point is not a good idea IMO). The 2 black "C" shaped brackets look like light mounts, and the hinged bracket looks like a license plate mount. I have no idea what the "J" shaped brackets are for.

It looks like some of the parts you have are what comes with aftermarket versions of the 10A bumper, like the ones shown here:

or

Also, if what you have is anything other than a genuine Mopar 10A bumper assembly, I would not trust the red recovery 'hooks'.

Hi Jac04, thanks a lot for your reply, that's certainly cleared up some of my questions. Much appreciated!
