Quick update on my Quadratec order. Called this morning and they said my kit should be in Tuesday next week. More importantly I noticed they raised the price from $1,000+$100 shipping (what I paid) to $1,500+$100 shipping. They said it's the same kit - I just happened to score a very good deal because they didn't update the price on their site for this new kit. We'll see...

For anyone else looking to order, at this point it's cheaper to get the kit on eBay with faster shipping like jcinaz did vs. ordering from Quadratec who just places a 7-10 day lead time order with a local Jeep dealer.

There looks to be a few options. Both 2/4 door front shafts are close in length. Rear will be longer on a 4 door.
KJ10... why the front shaft? The rear is the one that needs help.

I don't understand why they include a front shaft for a 2" lift..

Thinner drive shaft so you won't need exhaust spacers?

the front shaft is the issue on 12-15 jk's as it contacts the exhaust.

I have the Mopar 3" lift that I got with my JKU this summer. I love the 3" lift, the only thing I added was a Synergy front track bar. I test drove a JKU with the previous Mopar lift that used the Bilstein shocks and the Fox setup rides much nicer. The lift I have is basically the 3" Teraflex kit (Teraflex makes the Mopar kit). I think the big thing they changed is including a drive shaft instead of exhaust spacers. I wonder if the dealer will trade me??

Edit: Just took a look, the kit that is pictured in the catalog that was linked to above is EXACTLY what I have.

any way to get the part number on the front drive shaft? I wonder what the would cost as a stand alone item?

On 2012+ once you exceed about 24.5'' of shock extension up front the factory drive shaft will hit the exhaust crossover and the factory shaft was not designed for those angles anyway. After market front shafts (1310,1350) address both of these concerns. If they are including the shaft I am betting those are Fox 25" extended shocks. Rear shaft is not an issue on JK's. At least not until you get much higher than 2".

Sorry I have been away from the forum for so long, I have had a crazy week personally.

I did open my "Jeep Crate" and the drive shaft is a 1310 front. Keep in mind this is a double Cardan unit. I want to believe it is a Tom Woods but have no idea. I love that it comes with this drive shaft. Of course the literatur says that it can flex as good as some 4 inch lifts. We'll see about that.

The shocks do measure about 25 inches extended. I took a picture next to a ruler if anyone is interested.

I looked at the springs but cannot tell who made them. I forgot to measure them with the tape measure when I had them out.

The only thing I was surprised by was the individual parts are not wrapped, they are just in the box. After sending them in this great crate I would have expected the small items to be wrapped. The crate is oversize so I suspect we will see more things maybe lifts that can fit into it.

Tomorrow I hope to scan the Owners manual for all to see. It is pretty scarce with the basic overview of install. For me it was really helpful to view a Tom Woods Install video to get an idea of how to install the shaft right.

Oh, and I did see as a previous poster said they raised the price at Quadratec, but the discription is still wrong. I called them on it as soon as I opened mine to give them the heads up their description is wrong. So glad I got it on the goofed price.

JC... is there a Mopar PN on the drive shaft?

.

I hope those who are installing this kit measure how much actual lift they get (before and after measurements at front and rear.) Thanks :)

I will have these measurements tomorrow for you. We had this kit done on my wife's JKUHR and below are some quick pics. Looks more than 2" to me and the on road driving difference is pretty big. Considerably stiffer feel (in a good way), much less front dive, and hey the box looks great in the garage haha...

My STOCK HEIGHT black JKUHR is dwarfed now behind this one haha

Good front shot of the two next to each other...

The need for new wheels and larger tires has been highlighted

does this kit do anything to move the rear axle a lil further back?
As it doesn't replace the rear drive shaft I can't see how that would happen. For that matter I think there's a few more suspension parts necessary to do that.

Why is it necessary to move the center of the rear axle back?
