Howdy!

My Smittybilt XRC fender flares arrived today (several days late due to shipping issues). They didn't come with any mounting hardware.

I ordered from Extreme Terrain who were really great at helping me track down some hardware but unfortunately didn't have any to ship out and said they are on back order. They didn't see what sizes are suppose to ship with the flares and I didn't see specs on Smittybilt website. I did send a message to their support folks.

I don't know if these normally come with hardware but would love if anybody knows what size I should pickup when I go to the hardware store.

UPDATE: I went to Home Depot, Lowes, and Tractor supply last night to try to just get some hardware and finish the job but they didn't have any black hardware that would work. Definitely no black washers and I really don't want to have to spray paint hardware before install.

Did you buy the fenders new or used?

Have you called Smittybilt customer service?

Yes but it wasn't great... see post below. They weren't much help. May have to return these and just order a different brand.

Contact Smittybilt. The fenders should have included the hardware.

I spoke to them this morning and I definitely thought I’d get better customer service. They don’t have any hardware. Even though they confirmed they are suppose to ship with it they are sending fenders out without it. They wanted me to return the flares, wait for a refund and then reorder and “hope” the new ones come with hardware. The only other option they gave was to submit my receipt to them and they’d try to hunt down hardware from another package if it contains it and then ship it out. Timeline on that is uncertain.

Another update

Had a random email from 4x4 Parts with a tracking number and a part number for a fender flares kit. I googled the part number and it returned results for the entire flare kit. No one followed up with me to tell me of a package so I waited until it arrived. It was a indeed a whole set of flares including the hardware. Not sure how Smittybilt got 4x4 Parts to ship the whole thing without payment but I took the mounting hardware and will be returning the fenders tomorrow since there is a location 30 min away. Really wild experience and sadly there might be some who would keep the fenders and sell them or something but I am going to do the right thing and return them.
