Don't waste your money on those pro comp shocks. There are many bad reviews on their ride quality. I believe the toxic series are made for stock to lowered vehicles and ES3000 are junk. You should be able to find some decent shocks for $300. Search OME, Bilsteins, Rancho 9000, BDS.. For stock replacements, Monroes are pretty good.

Worst shock I have ever had.

I had some Pro Comp shocks on my Toyota 4x4 and the valving was so far off the ride was terrible. I took the loss and threw them in the trash.

Monroe makes something like 75-80% of the different brands of shocks used on our Jeeps and other vehicles manufactured here in the US.

 

The monroe Sensa-tracs model are the ones I would recommend as cheap stock replacements.

Ok so no go then Ill take your word on that but I cant go oem replacement I have a fabtech 4 1/2 lift on my jeep.

 

Not oem. OME as in Old Man Emu shocks. They are gret shocks.

 

The PO for my Jeep had the ES7000 series on it. Worst shock I have ever had. I replaced with the Terra Flex VS9550 and what a change. Get rid of the Pro Comps.

When I went with Rough Country 2.2 on my 3.5 RE lift, price was an issue. Well after 2yrs of wheeling and getting beat to death, I went with Rancho 9000xl's, the difference is from night to day. For wheeling you back off the adjuster a few clicks, and when airing up you set them at 9, and rail the road like a sports car. Money well spent.:thumb:

 

I have the MX-6 adj on my ride.. they seem pretty decent to me.

So? Doesn't mine make pinnacle golf balls? Or vise versa? I've just heard on a couple threads in the forum that the Monroe shocks tend to go out often.

Ya but when u try something worth a few more pennies you will defiantly feel a difference. All that adjustable stuff doesn't work. Got to go with a good nitro charged shock

 

I had the ProComp ES9000 series. After driving on a gravel road with some washboards I immediately knew I needed different shocks. I thought my Jeep was going to rattle apart.

I went with Bilstein 5100 series shocks and never looked back.
