hi guys, I have a white color hardtop and want it black. Has anyone tried painting the TJ hardtop with the RustOLeum Bedliner spray? I have done this on my plastic fender flares on my Chevy pick up truck and it came out really nice with rugged/rough surface... any input is really appreciated. Thanks

Thank you guys for helpful response and opinions. Yes, I agree that I maybe able to sell the rare to find white hardtop and use the funds to get the black one, I think its one good option I will consider before making a move. However, I do also like the appearance of white color inside the cabin roof and want to get a slightly textured and more durable finish of bed-liner paint on the outside that can be, in my opinion, easily fixed by respraying it for any paint damage due to rock chips or scratch on the trails. After all, its an off-road Jeep, it can't be too pretty and smooth looking appearance, can it?

I may be wrong, but I think that the inside of the all the hard tops are white!
At least mine is and it is a black top.

I originally had a white hard top on my Jeep when I first got it but painted it tan to match other tan tops of my year. I wish I took pictures before I did.
