I've been researching sport cages for a little while but have never been able to find someone that has rolled a JK with a sport cage. I found this video on YouTube recently, have looked several times before, and it appears he has a sports cage and it looks like it held up very well.

Still think a weld in cage by a cage maker is better, however, this doesn't seem like a bad option. Thought I'd share.

There was one a while back on YouTube. I think it was a TJ with a Rock Hard 4x4. The Jeep did an endo roll and the cage held. Of course I can't find the video now.

I liked OR Fab's cage the best cause it had floor tie ins but they discontinued it. The video I saw made me a believer out of the RH cage too though.

Ya for some reason I never came across it. It kind of looks like the PSC cage. A sport cage might have moved a little up my list. However, I believe I'll meet with a cage builder just to see what they say and have all my options. Coming from SCCA, one thing you don't try to save money on is protection...however...I don't want to cut my current cage out so adds and additional tie ins might be the way I go.

That did hold up pretty damn good... That thing took a beating coming down that hill.

I'm glad to see that a sport cage will hold up to something like that. One reason I put one in mine.

That is definitely not a rock hard, and from the looks of the tie in points on the windshield bar and lack of grab handles points to a PSC.

I have a 2014 willy's JKU added a RE 2'5 lift and still had a 1" rake. called RE and they sent me a new set of front coils. Old coil RE 60450 new coil RE60455. After installing new coil I have vibration at low speed and steering wobble at higher speed. Before new coils no issue.
Any ideas what is causing this?

We'll I hope it's not the roll cage! Lol. Call them back and explain the issue to them. Good luck

I've continued to go back and forth on sport cages. Rock Hard vs. PSC and my issue with PSC (and seems to be others) is the lack of tie to the windshield which makes the cage noisy and can cause top fitment issues. Come to find out PSC is doing a redesign of their sport cage and taking this and other "issues" into consideration.

Thought I'd post for anyone that might come across this thread hoping to find clarity about sport cages. If PSC ties into the windshield and fixes some fitment issues it'll be the way to go. Time frame couldn't be provided, however, it was said that it would be a few months.

There was a thread on another forum about one of the EVO jeeps rolling with a sport cage. The aftermarket pieces did well but basically transferred all the force to the stock cage and it bent, to include just barely tweaking the body. They used a winch to straighten the body back. Seems a sport cage is great for saving your life, especially because it keeps the windshield from folding flat. But for anything more than a flop you can't expect similar results as a full cage where you just flip her back over and you are back in the game.
