What to keep in a TJ road tool kit?

I've got a really great toolbox in the garage, but when I travel, I never know what to keep in a to go road tool kit. I'm gonna guess and say

3/8 socket
5/16 socket
screwdrivers of both kinds and sizes
Torx 15-20

Does anyone have a good to go road tool kit they would like to share?

I'm one of those dummies that will be out in the desert and missing that one tool that could save me.

I have started mine with the 301 pc tool kit from HF. I have only added the t55 and a tamper torx (can’t remember the size). It has 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 drive sockets. The only thing really missing from it is a full of wrenches, and the two bits I’ve added. Love it so far, and if it breaks take that piece in to HF and get a new one free.

Nice.

I got that 184 piece Dewalt set from Costco last night. It retails at HD for 160, and Costco has it for 99.00. Im really thinking of getting one of those Milwaukee ratchets for the garage. There are so many of them I have to research which one would fit my needs of working on the TJ. They look pretty bad ass and powerful too.

As for the road kit. I'm gonna order some screwdrivers and another set of adjustable wrench's, and of course pick up a couple solid flashlights at Costco. Should have done all this months ago.

Right now I keep a few things in it all the time. Flat and Philips screwdrivers, a multi driver with bits, a hammer, rubber mallet, a couple adjustable wrenches, needle nose pliers, about 3 yards of bailing wire, about 100 yards of 550 cord, flashlight. My plan is to eventually do an OBA and have some pneumatic tools with me.

I throw the big kit in whenever I go more then 50 miles from home. I’m also putting to get her a recovery box in an old 40mm grenade ammo can. That’s got a 40k pound nuclear rated cargo strap, tow strap, heavy gloves, collapsing safety cones, and some other stuff I can’t think of right now.

And I forgot to add that I will be strapping a fire extinguisher on the bar between the speaker pods and have a second that will go in with either box.

Open end bus tickets, tow driver on speed dial, Snap-On tool truck following, a........wait a sec, are we talking daily driver or trail rig, just kidding, I only worry about the inevitable on long trips, hell, most cars on the road today have catastrophic failures for no good reason with little to no miles and still under warranty, I feel safer in my 30-40 yr old vehicles dependability than I do my wife's2018 Equinox.
