Angry eyes - are they still in style?

I’ve been noticing that over the years I’ve been seeing less and less Jeeps rocking the angry eyes mods.

Which has me thinking, are they no longer in style?

I won’t lie, I think they can be a fun harmless mod to add to a Jeep. But I completely understand when I see people dump all over them for being corny. After all, Jeeps are fun and trying to make one mean and scary is the antithesis of that.

Is anyone else noticing that there’s less and less angry eyes? If so, are you happy or sad that it’s happening?

Unexpected benefits of import tariffs on China?

I think they're going out of fashion and people are beginning to realize how cheap and tacky it looks.

Of course, tomorrow the fad and culture could change and what was was not and what was not was again. Fads and culture tend to go in every which direction the wind blows. Therefore, the Seven Bar Jeep Creed keeps Jeep orthodoxy firmly rooted throughout time.

Angry eyes still in style ? Since when they were in style ? Answer is "Never". Some people do things to their poor Jeeps, but that doesn't mean such things are in any style. Now with that said customize yours as you wish just don't get surprised at the comments good or bad about certain mods. Haters are going to hate and lovers are going to love and that is just the way it is. I would never do angry eyes cause i don't like that look but if i did, you can bet the house forum comments would not deter me from doing what i like/think it's best for my Jeep. It's your Jeep, Do whatever rocks your boat.

I'm in a ski town, in the east. About 1/3rd of the Jeeps here have different style grills. most are "angry bird, and angry shark grills. During the vacation time we get a ton of Jeeps. Most from Massachutés and Road Island. On the whole those "visitors" don't have a angry grills, and a side note they also don't wave or have ducks on their dash. The most common "changes" are; big wheels, snorkel, lights, (lots of lights) and other "off road" updates. Now I havened talked to all of them, just the ones that come in where I work. They don't go off road, or rock climbing, they just like the look. Nothing wrong with that, I haven't gone rock climbing since the '70s. Of my current Jeep, '97 Tj, '14 Jku, one is to old and the second one is stock, and the driver is too old. Most Jeep owners I talk with are just Jeep lovers, owning a dream and an idea. Jeeps are kool, fun, and problematic.
"Life is better in Jeep", enjoy it. Keep on Jeeping!

Style is what you nuke. There is really no style but a; look and attitude. The short answer is YES. You drive a Jeep, Jeep is what you make it, don't follow the crowd. I have blood red hands on both side windows, Foot hanging on the rear bumper, a hand off the front, an angry bird grill. Do I care what people think, nope.🤔 Just so you know, for the last 55 years, I have designed, built, an acted in "Haunted Houses'" attractions' .Keep on Jeeping and going your own way

I think all those silly add-ons disrespect the Jeep functional style. Guess I'm old fashioned to a degree. I am on my 4th Jeep Wrangler, in the last 40 years, '99 Sport stock manual 6, I won't even buy certain colors, but always soft tops. I grew up '50s, 60s next to an army base, in Chicago, and always loved them, as they were. To me, I always thought of a Jeep as the only car you would look great getting out of in either a fur and formal, or tux, as well as Jeans and boots. Other than larger wheels/tires I've never even thought of adding anything. I also grew up driving manual, and won't drive anything else. (taught to drive by boyfriends) Yes, they are fun, and fun to drive, but to me they should also be respected for what they were originally designed to do. Plus everyone seems to get a kick out of seeing an old lady driving a manual TJ.

I'm seeing a decrease in the number of Angry eye grills. Maybe it's the expense, maybe it's JL's are too new to be modfied like that yet.

It's a good thing they aren't more common in my opinion. But, my dad once told me when I saw a low rider car and said "What a waste" that car guys are car guys no matter what they do to their car. At least the car isn't rotting away in a tree grove or junkyard.

I want one of the YJL grills from Unofficial US Only. Need to save my pennis for that! I had a YJ and would love to pay homage to it through my JL
