I’ve been looking to upgrade my lights because they are stock and useless. I don’t like the look of the halos though. Does anyone have any reccomendations that aren’t halos?

I'm on my fifth set of headlights... Some were test units for different manufacturers. I like the Pro Comps, amazing low beam output and cutoff. And a high beam that's like a light bar...

I went with the Mopar LED's introduced on the 2017 Sahara's. Awesome lights, BIG improvement over the stock lights. Two things with the OEM LED to know, 1) You need to remove the old headlight bucket as the new LED is one assembly which includes the new bucket. The mounting tabs on the assembly are cheap and if they break it requires creative fixing (see pic). 2) The PCM update I had done at stealership to recognize the new LED's cost $125.00. Probably could have talked them down but didn't feel like the hassle. But even with these 2 drawbacks I really like these lights.

I have the QT's and they are really great, like "Wow, I have never driven anything that had headlights this good," great.

They are plug and play, come with the module and take all of 1 beer to install. A year later, and they are like new.

Is it necessary? No, but if you are driving through freezing rain or blowing wet snow, an unheated LED may ice up or retain some of that snow. A Jeep that was in a warm garage before heading out into the elements won't have any advantages/disadvantages in that area, because those parts will cool down to ambient temperature pretty quickly when exposed to icing conditions.

I have run unheated LEDs through two winters with the Jeep (daily driver), and can count on three fingers how many times I've had to clear off the headlights when weather became an issue that affected their output.

A pic from one of those instances:

Oddly enough, the headlights were still throwing enough light (more than stock) with 20 minutes worth of snow built up on them. This will vary by region, so if you live in the snow belt, the heated LED or even upgraded halogen options may be a better fit for you.

I ended up going with the hella h4s and the philips x-treme vision bulbs. I used the KC HiLITES adapter. It still looks like my stock bulbs ( which I find cute lol) but I can see a lot better with them. The high beam sucks though. Really really sucks. Usually when I need high beams I’m out in the country where I can run my lightbar so it’s not too big of a deal.
